Russ Kitts. was born February 8, 1967 in Chicago, Ill.
Kitts grew up singing in local church choirs and moved on to performing solos in church choirs. As a high school graduate, Kitts joined the United States Army.
After his military service, Kitts traveled around the East Coast until settling down in Rock Hill, South Carolina, where the urge to sing took over.
Kitts sang for various Rock Bands: Ruff Customer, Cast of Nastys, 11th Commandment. After many years of trying to make something happen..."I gave up!", says Kitts.
"Something was missing...then it hit me.. God was what was missing! All those years I sang in church...i felt happy...satisfied...fulfilled!!! Then after 16 years...my God...came searching for me! My fellow brother, Scott Gregory called me up and asked if i would be interested in singing again. I said yes, but I was not interested in the same music we used to do. I asked, "How about Christian music?" Gregorey, smiled and exclaimed, "Thats what I was waiting to hear!!!"
So...the band started taking shape, and soon...HEAVEN'S THUNDER WAS BORN!!! I still say, "It was a gift from God!"
