Rossi Craft
Rossi Craft was born July 19th, 1963 in Rock Hill, SC. As a life-long South Carolina resident, he grew up loving music. Although Craft lived in a modest home with hardly means for musical instruments or lessons, he managed to purchase his first bass guitar after receiving his very first paycheck at the age of 18.
He then started a Metal band called Destiny which ultimately became Metal Storm. The band dissolved about two years later and Craft pursued a life on the road, giving up his aspiration of playing bass guitar.
Following the death of a fellow Bass player and best friend (Cleve Johnson) Craft was asked to perform in Cleve's place in a contemporary Christian band at a local church. Craft had been on a 22-year performance haitus. After much prayer Craft obliged the request and resumed his passion for his instrument.
However, within two years, Craft had to lay the bass down for a second time because of work and family obligations.
Eventually a call came from Metal Storm drummer, Scott Gregory who asked Craft to perform in his newly formed Metal Christian Band. Excited, Craft jumped at the chance to play.
Heaven's Thunder was the resulting brainchild.
Craft resides in Rock Hill with his two wonderful children, daughter, Johnnie; and son, Rossi Jr. |
